This watercolor is 8.5 x 11 inches and painted from a small photograph that is 2 x 3 inches. This is a picture of two kit houses bought from a war surplus in Mobile during WWll. My grandmother, who I called Nanny, was out in the shallow Mobile Bay seining for shrimp, I suppose, to fish with. The picture was taken by a relative flying by in a plane, as were a handful of photographs I have from this time period.! How beautiful Point Clear was back in those days.
