This 22 x 32 inch piece is created on Rives BFK printmaking paper using dye and watercolor. As a kid, I was fascinated by what I saw on the drive over and back on the Causeway from Mobile to Point Clear. There were ancient wooden frames of sunken boats in the water. Old restaurants and their short piers on the waters edge hanging on to the Delta. Hotels and motels abandoned where no one stayed anymore. There were seven different bridges that connected the highway that spanned the bay from shore to shore. There is the WUNI bird radio station in all it's glory! And the delta just goes on and on into its mysterious beauty. Beautiful and pristine. Wild and rustic. I can still feel it.
